Sometimes it’s not always possible to see all of your friends all of the time, that doesn’t mean you’re not thinking of them, people just get busy or move to different parts of the world. When you do get to see them the best thing is catching up where you left off, now that’s a sign of a real friend I always think… 

Catch up with Naked Boys Reading: The Fall – 3rd Birthday with LATE After-Party on Thursday 24th September at the Ace Hotel (100 Shoreditch High St, E1 6JQ). Starts at 7:30pm with a list of naked boy readers, DJs The Duchess of Pork and birthday boy Matthew Smith, with Dr Sharon Husbands as your hostess. Afterparty ‘til 3am. Another birthday boy this weekend: performance artiste Scottee, who’s celebrating his 30th this Friday 25th!

Then on Saturday 26th September Glorious Saturday: Cabaret & Disco ft. Lavina Co-Op on stage at 9pm at The Glory (281 Kingsland Rd, London E2 8AS). Jonny Woo ‘shows it out’ in the bar, the fabulous Lavina Co-Op gives us an education in camp, while at 10pm upstairs I shall be continuing the evening with a DJ set and in the downstairs disco Robert Outch takes to the decks playing the tunes ‘til 2am.

Art in a pub toilet anyone? The White Cubicle Toilet Gallery at The George & Dragon, (2 Hackney Road, E2 7NS) continues their series of installations on Tuesday 29th September, with work from ‘maximalist’ artist John Walter entitled ‘Courtship Disorder’, 8pm ‘til midnight.

Meanwhile, we’re all rather excited about Lucian Freud muse and all-round legend Sue Tilley and her debut art show This is My life… Paintings and Drawings, launching on Thursday 1st October and continuing for 6 weeks until November 12th at Forman’s Smokehouse Gallery, (Stour Rd, London E3 2NT). Sue has been busy exploring her secret talents with paint and pencil, to provide a fascinating glimpse into her world celebrating her eccentricities in all their glory! smokehousegallery.org
